A high school student who aspires to become an idol faces obstacles in her pursuit of her dreams. Along the way, she befriends aspiring stars from all over, learning what her dazzling ambition truly means. Based on a Japanese novel written by then-Nogizaka46 member Kazumi Takayama. It was initially serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s book and manga news magazine Da Vinci from April 2016 to August 2018. This is an instant hit if you’re looking for a great coming-of-age story about what happens when you take the norms of life for granted in exchange for an extravagant leap into the unknown. The characters have great chemistry – the messages and inspiring tones hit many notes, from low, somber short sentences to high euphoria, all thanks to the chemistry between the characters and the natural progression of the plot. This film really pulls together a great progression that will make you feel a lot of emotions, as extravagant as the dreams of our characters. If you are looking for a beautiful anime in every way – whether it be stunning visuals, heartfelt tones, or a great time being young while we can, I cannot recommend this film enough. This story comes full circle, it doesn’t leave anything out or anything desirable – it is a star in itself.
